I am part of the Black Student Achievement Plan, a program that helps support and celebrate students of color. Through this program I started learning more about culture, history, and why representation matters. Programs like mine and the one in this video truly make a difference.

Culture Club (Manhattan Beach) is a community-based nonprofit focused on empowering youth through cultural awareness, education, and enrichment programs. The organization provides kids with opportunities to explore diversity, build confidence, and develop leadership skills through workshops, events, and hands-on learning experiences.
By creating inclusive spaces for connection and growth, Culture Club aims to inspire young people to understand different cultures, embrace their identities, and become engaged, thoughtful members of their communities.

Almost every Saturday these students are visiting colleges, museums, and going on exciting field trips that help them explore new ideas, careers, and opportunities. It is a great space for kids to learn, discover, and imagine what their future can look like.

Community Creators Studio is an after school art program created by It’s Bigger Than Us and Heart of Los Angeles. The program gives elementary students a creative space to explore painting, drawing, and self expression while learning from experienced artists and connecting with their community through art.
This is just one of the many programs they do.

Building College to Success is a nonprofit organization dedicated to helping students, especially those from underserved communities, prepare for and succeed in college. They provide mentorship, academic support, and guidance through the college application process, while also connecting students to resources that help them persist and graduate. Their mission focuses on creating pathways to higher education and long-term career success.
